When the phone rings the extra loud ringer notifies you of a call plus the flashing lights get your attention. When a new incoming call is received, the NO BUSY will ring and the 4 red LED lights will flash to alert you of the call. After 20 seconds of the phone 'off hook', the NO BUSY will disconnect the phone from the phone line allowing for incomming calls. When the handset is not properly set down or switched off the NO BUSY will make a tone for 20 seconds and 3 green LED lights will flash.The flashing green lights and tone are reminders to hang up your phone. The NO BUSY detects when the other party hangs up after a phone call.
